Pokeshipping wouldn't work out nowadays. Advanceshipping was looking good, like in Manaphy film, but then Contestshipping came along and killed it. Pearlshipping was looking amazing, but then Ash and Dawn friendzoned each other and shit turned too platonic beyond repair. Negaishipping was always brother/sister bickering and nothing ever romantic, and Wishfulshipping was the main pairing with Iris. Amourshipping fucking finally can be the ship for Ash since Pokeshipping no long works with this Ash, except it needs more shit from Ash's side. Scenes like near the river and Serena helping Ash with training and Ash helping Serena with her goal and date episodes will improve that.

Like OS Ash fit best with Misty. AG Ash was better with May than anyone. DP Ash and Dawn were perfectly compatible. BW Ash ironically would have been most fitting with Iris out of all the girls.
