Personally, I like Gen 6 after these recent bans

Strikes a good balance between 4's slower defensive feel and 5's power creep. Plus a lot more lower tiered Pokes are pretty viable.

It started to go toward the path of offense but was the most balanced generation.

Nothing outside of Garchomp and certain Legendaries were super broken and all playstyles were viable back then.

Weather wars were an interesting aspect of the meta. It was a whole new layer of things to think about during battle. Honestly, the only time it was annoying is if you were doing Sand mirror, rain mirror, or sun mirror, because you lost that aspect of it.

Definitely. I'd argue that them lasting infinitely gave weather teams too much of a gimme against non weather teams, and the fact that they're inherently imbalanced (rain versus sun, water versus fire, fucking wow) as well as the fact that there are only 5 weather setters in the entire game excluding groudon and kyogre is very limiting, but the mechanic itself leads to much more unified teambuilding and allows far more pokemon to be viable.

I wish we didn't get team preview though. I would have loved to see BW without team preview.
