What the fuck do you guys call your trainer, veepee? English default names? Japanese default names? Your own name? Something 2edgy4u? Some random word?
Goddamnit.

Always default name. Whether its the english or japanese one depends on which one i got used to hearing. So in ORAS its May because of the anime. in BW2 it was Mei because internet.

I almost always try to make it some stupid pun. My character in HG is Al, because AU. In LG he's Glenn, because green, in OR he's Ruben, because Ruby, in Emerald he's Ralph, because emeRALd.

Depends on the run I have in mind.

If its just a vanilla run I'll use my own name, if I have a team in mind or even just a nicknaming theme I'll go with something different.

My last playthrough was a trainer named Pax and his final nuzlocke team of Smokescreen, Cosmos, Seaspray, Springer and Powerglide.

I have almost always used the default English names, except in XY. Because of customization, I felt I could feasibly consider that character to be whoever I wanted it to be.
First play was male, named him Corin. Seconds playthrough was female, named her Zoe.

BW/2 was comics, so Parker & Ferris, Stark & Gracie

XY was letters, so Jay and Elle

With ORAS I had no idea for a theme so just went with random names

I used to name myself after my internet username, which in return originates from resident evil 4.

I thought it was a nice nickname to use in the web. Then suddenly it started to be used for girl names and people often thought I was a little girl.

Then more girly characters sharing the name appeared. And decided it was well over 7 years since I've used that username and decided to change it.

Ouatia was the perfect name I came up with. It's almost never taken anywhere and it's a abbreviation for one of my favorite movies

Way back when I used my real name. I stopped after G/S though. When I first played Pearl it was a rekindling of that old magic from when I was a child so I used my real name there too. I didn't feel that sort of childlike wonder again so I messed around with random names in Emerald, Platinum and Black until I found one I liked. I now use Helel for Black, Y and AS.

I used my own name for HG though.

just so it felt like people were questioning who I was, or they were confused and surprised to see me. Sometimes questioning my credentials.

It helps that I nickname my pokemon with names of other pokemon, like my Regirock named Registeel, or my Rayquaza named Magikarp.
