literally all it achieved was hiding a bunch of useful tms behind either a wall of rng or massively inflated prices from buying the coins at the counter
the only reason voltorb flip was worse was that it closed off the option of just buying the coins manually - it was nice to at least have a minigame that wasn't completely rng
