Just have the goddamn PWT, retcons be damned. No need to even do sprites anymore because you can just use the full size art. If you're feeling really lazy you can even reuse the music from BW2 like with the legendaries. Specialist teams added a much more legitimate form of difficulty than the streak bullshit and the idea of the opponents being famous and powerful trainers instead of some random assholes felt just right.

The Maison already existed, so they could just copy-paste it over. Remaking the whole frontier would be a waste since most casual players would ignore it and most core players prefer online battling to RNG-bullshit.

Sakurai actually makes good games though.

And he definitely fills his games up with content. The closest to a lacking-in-content game I can think of from Sakurai is Smash 3DS, and that still has fucktons more to do than XY or ORAS.

Completed the Pike, Dome, pyramid, tower, and factory. I didn't try the palace and arena because I didn't understand it and was not interested by it. But I mean I was just 12 at the time, I would have loved to try it now that I'm older and have all of this knowledge of the game.

The only one I ever beat was the random Pokemon Battle Factory.
I was never able to beat the others because I never ev trained my Pokemon back then.
You can imagine my surprise when I finally know how to ev/iv train, and all I'm given is the Maison, to which I have already beaten in France.

Not only am I given the Maison in Hoenn, but I'm given the same three bitches from France making a trip to Japan.

I can't get too upset, because the same BF was copy/pasted from Platinum to HG/SS and I was disappointed by that.

Either way, it's still a little sad. I would have liked to play BF again, and this time in the new gen.

This. Notice how all the NPCs in the resort talk about the Pokemon World Championship. This is because Gamefreak is stressing the importance of actual competitive play.

Now think of it this way: In Gen I-III, there was no internet connectivity whatsoever. We weren't able to take on real people and real teams. As a result, we are given an insanely difficult (I might argue artificially difficult) CPU challenge to keep us busy instead. No internet connectivity, no wireless play, etc. It's to simulate the experience of battling real people.

Nowadays, we have ranked and unranked play.We are able to play over the fucking internet. That alone is postgame infinity. I don't know what you guys were expecting. Pokemon received true online multiplayer.

Oh, and for those of you who complain about how all the "kids playing wifi use cheap strategies/legendaries," stop contradicting yourself. You guys said you wanted a harder stuff in pokemon anyways.

Online battling in Gen IV was still a new thing though. It hadn't really been adopted on a wide scale yet, not to mention many of the changes that we now see in gameplay weren't invented yet.

Also, for the record, DPPTHGSS BF was shit. It was nothing like the original.
