It's easy to forget that the game basically only just came out. I'm gonna give it a good 2 months before I completely give up hope on dlc.
The Maison just seems *too* half-assed. EVEN for GF. They coulda easily just "called" it a battle tower but had it function exactly the same as the maison. They could have gotten away with it because even the original R/S only had the one battle tower. So I honestly can't believe that's how they intended it to be.
Also, everyone takes "we weren't going to put all our work into a feature only advanced players will use" from that interview, but they could have easily meant "we didn't want to *prioritize our (short) dev time* on something only a few players would use." So - if they didn't prioritize the Resort and then ran out of time - that would explain the half-assed Maison.
