Kalos even had a pokeball factory they could've done something like "Thanks for saving my factory. Here, have some prototype pokeballs we're working on"
Or at least add a pokeball type that you can customize(like changing colors and adding some shapes)

The Leet Ball. It's like a Master Ball, except it's red white and blue, and it automatically boosts each of your pokemon's base stats by 69 points. When it opens up, you hear dubstep music playing for like, 3 minutes into the battle.

You could've gotten them by redeeming codes you get under Mountain Dew caps.

They really do need to introduce something like the ball capsules again. Especially with the Pokeball factory, they really shit the bed on this one.

Let us choose base color for both halves, and choose from a range of patterns in varying colors, then choose a ball effect. It would be a simple system to code and allow for all kinds of fun. Design a purple pokeball with red diodes on the top and a dusk ball style gaseous effect and it'd be perfect for the Gastly line. Or maybe a blue top, pink bottom ball with a shuriken design and a water splash effect for Greninja. There's any number of cool ideas that could be realized with a few simple patterns and colors.
