When your repel runs out, the game asks you if you would like to use another automatically. Also in ORAS, you can now fly to routes and cave entrances, it's not just limited to towns.

You'll just see a bunch of people asking for Legendaries in exchange for early-route Pokémon like Fletchling and Zigzagoon. There are some people asking for reasonable trades, but they're sniped quickly.

It's not so bad if you offer a Pokémon up for trade. If it's reasonable, someone will do it within 20 minutes tops.

Thank fucking god they cut down on how important HMs are. I'm playing through AS right now and I need TWO HM slaves in my party just to get by, and I fucking hate it.
I had to turn fucking Latias into a HM slave just because it can use all of the water HMs and Fly.

People really do this? Strength and Surf are decent enough to be used anyway, Fly isn't needed at all and Dive is ok on several physical water mons

It's more efficient to just carry a Sharpedo around with you for the surfing speed, and the fact that it learns nearly every HM besides Fly and Cut (I don't remember if it can learn cut).

Cut turns into an Axe (key item)
Fly just becomes a move any flying type can learn, becomes a regular TM
Same thing as above with Surf, Waterfall, and Strength
Rock Smash turns into a hammer (key item)
Flash turns into a lantern (key item)
