I actually like the Battle Maison I shit-ton more because it feels less tedious, and the CPU is less cheap.
Although there was this one time where a Rhyhorn kept using Rock Slide and kept continually flinching My Flygon and then fucked me over, which was complete bullshit.

How is the BF not better than the Maison? The Maison is just a reskinned tower, Emerald has that plus 6 other facilities, all of which are completely optional. I mean I just don't understand, the BF was the maison plus tons of other stuff, so how is it any worse than the maison by itself?

it's better because the Tower/Subway/Maison is the less bullshit version of the battle facilities. The Tower has been a staple since Gen fucking II, also. It has issues, but the BF facilities have all those issues PLUS A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT that mes them frustrating to play. That makes them NOT FUN.

I'd rather have the basic battle facility than having to suffer watching the Pokemon I've bred solely for the Palace fail due to the RNG not being in its favor on top of the fact these things are designed to cheat

That's the point though. You had options. Most people aren't going to care that badly about getting every Gold symbol (or heck, every Silver symbol). If you only want a Tower format, there's the Tower, but for people who want more variety in their RNG bullshit, there were other facilities.

Did you even play Emerald? Or even Platinum/HGSS?
Besides, if battle frontier was too much of an 'eyesore' or too 'gimmicky' you could easily just use the Battle Tower or if you're that much of a baby just play XY and use the maison there, it's not like we need two battle maisons in one gen when there was an opportunity for an improvement

I've played through ALL versions it, and they where ALL shitty, if they haven't improved it by now then there is no reason to even keep it.
The only reason the would rather have Maison is because I'd rather have one shitty gimmick place instead of 5 or 6 of the fucking things. If it was MY decision, I'd get rid of it completely and make it to where online battles gave you BP, and the higher ranking the player was you beat the more BP you would get. That way you could get rewarded for doing well in Online-Play and you wouldn't have to battle shitty AI.

I've never seen /vp/ freak out about something so fucking trivial. The Frontier was alright at best.. it was a neat area with cool music, but ultimately it's purpose is completely covered by the Maison. They haven't improved upon it since it's inception, so why spend time and resources when they already have the exact same thing?

Fuck man. I can see being a little dissapointed, but the level of which /vp/ is freaking out over this is ridiculous. They have a condensed version of a fucking sidequest in the game, and people are flipping their shit.

Just do what they did with the life orb and other hold items and just make it to where wild pokes have a chance of holding more common hold-items, but rarer hold-items will be in the BP-Shop
