You're better off chaining in the grass outside instead of inside Mt. Pyre. Also make sure it's at least level 70 so do some horde battles inside Mt. Pyre first.

The number your chain is actually has nothing to do with whether or not you encounter a shiny. Just make sure you search with dexnav. Good luck.

If you fight a shiny legendary don't 1hp it, and if it starts to struggle just use a masterball. It's not worth losing it for balltism

Probably. It only has 20pp total across its moveset. The first one I encountered Struggled to death because of this.
Pray to whatever you believe in to get lucky this round, or bring something with Heal Pulse next time.

Yeah, fuck it. I used the master ball because I had it struggle to death about 4 hours ago.

I would have preferred a Premier ball, but whatever. Not going to lose a 2nd shiny Lugia in the same day hours after the first encounter with it.
