About to start my first ever Wonder Locke, what am I in for? Expecting lots of Hoenn shitmons but I figured it won't get any better by the time christmas rolls around. They sound like heaps of fun either way

Since every pokemon automatically gets bonus exp and ORAS is already easy enough, should I add some more restrictions to make it more difficult?

I've been wanting to do a Wonderlocke for quite some time, but what's the stance on duplicate pokes?
My experience with WTing breeding leftovers was basically Route 2 trash: The Movie, feat. Monkeys. Sure, there's some cool stuff every now and then, but you'd have to wade through a hundred scatterbugs to get there.

I go by regular Nuzlocke rules: you can only catch the first of the route regardless of if it is a duplicate. Same goes for Wonderlocke.
It's one of the two main rules of the original game and shouldn't be altered in my opinion.

Depends on personal preference.

On a Wonderlocke I'd be inclined to institute a no dupes clause, simply because of the 6 bunnelby party potential.

I'm perfectly fine with using weird and not-so-good pokes. Hell, the idea of using stuff I'd normally not even think of is a good part of why I want to do it.
It's just that my experience with the WT has been pretty crappy after a year of use. For every decent poke there's like 6 Bunnelbys or Fletchlings without HA or IVs or anything. And I don't really want a team that's literally route 2 or route 101.

Wingull is a bro, though you'll need to keep it as Wingull until 40 if you want Air Slash rather than Hurrimiss.

I do no duplicates. My X version ended up with a solid team, but consisting of an assload of level 1 pokes and a level 34 Staraptor I couldn't control. It's hard to find the urge to actually start playing it.

noone would like to see some cool items when they first start? I wanna make people happier to use the wondertrade even if I get shit. I usually also attach items to evo mons and stone evo mons. Porygon has up-grade attached to it when its traded from me too.

There's plenty of awesome stuff you can trade, but it's usually annoying to get by.
Hold Items are always great, be they leftovers or Maison stuff.

I meant the item (as the only way of getting more of them is via pickup, which sucks donkey balls), but sending breeding leftovers is what I consider the WT to be for anyway.

I do something similar where I trade away all my Pokemon after the end of every Gym, until I get an HM compatible one if I have to.

It's piss easy in the beginning, but gets hard as balls when you're at Gym 8 and you have level 1 breeding rejects to work with.
