because they have to balance the gameplay somehow
gen5 had great story and new pokemon, so the effort went there instead of post game
platinum and emerald are superior versions that reused most things, so they had more time to do post game stuff
dunno why Kalos is shit though. maybe because of the scenery? it does have lots of nice areas even compared to oras

i never played emerald, so i only have knowledge of the platinum frontier, but i think that if they implemented it in oras it would turn out really amazing. pokemon amie and the battle palace is the first obvious element that i'd like to see implemented

Assuming they'll do Sinnoh remakes, they won't include a BF. Masuda and Ohmori already said they don't think it would be fully appreciated, so they decided to not include the Frontier now. It's unlikely they'll change their mindset given how fixed they are on making the games piss easy with no regard for older players.

If the Zeldafriends got their long wished remake of Majora's Mask via Operation Moonfall why we can't do the same for the goddamn frontier? You know what bothers me about the Maison

Even beyond the fact that it's not a Frontier? The fact it's so boring in design. The Battle Tower is a badass fucking seemingly unending huge tower of battles, it feels menacing and difficult. Hearing the term "Battle Tower" makes me think of a long ass post-game challenge.

Yeah, the Maison is just copy pasted from it, gameplay wish, but it even manages to be less menacing in theme.

It's amazing how fast XY and ORAS have secured gamefreak's position as one of my most hated developpers now

seriously fuck these people, and it's not like these chucklefucks are going anywhere because they're in charge of pokemon, they literally released 4 piles of shit and got away with it completely

that had nothing to do with RNG certain moves worked with certain natures. You get the right combo and it's just auto battling all the way.

Anyway, the Emerald frontier was a lot more varied, interesting and challenging than the Plat one simply because they all weren't the tower with some circumventable gimmick. Plus the hall of fame thing gave you an extra layer of gameplay like beating your friend's records and such.

Pretty much this, if you look at Pokemon games in comparison to a lot of other video game series it's kinda ridiculous how little they add even during generation jumps- don't even need to bring up remakes. It's compounded by the fact that they make so much goddamn money- There are series that arn't half as successful as Pokemon that bother actually improving their games in meaningful ways.

Except Gen 5 had one of the biggest post-games of any new gen, it just lacked a proper frontier. Then BW2 went and topped it.
