Kanto literally makes up the other half of the game, without it you have literally the shortest Pokemon game ever. Not that HG/SS Kanto was very large anyway, that's a big problem with HG/SS that always gets brought up along with that scaling.
The pokewalker, while it did sound neat at first, was a pretty boring device. I mean you get very little gain for the time you put into it.
As for the Frontier, of course it wouldn't be a part of HG/SS because
1)it wasn't in a generation that had one
2)it didn't have one to begin with
Also the Maison is still a better alternative to the tower because you can streak without pausing every seven trainers and you can take a break and do something else in game. With the Tower you can't take a break from the area, you have to either finish all seven or abandon your run in it's entirety.
The Esuine plot was bridged the gap between maingame and post game anyway like Episode Delta but a lot less cryptic. After all you can't actually finish it until you reach the postgame. The one real difference between the two is that there's no title card for the Esuine plot.
Everything else is just pretty minor because the Game Corner would have already been abolished by that point and the GB sounds were pretty bad anyway nostalgia aside.
You knowwhat would have pissed people off though? If R/S were remade in the place HG/SS were.
>Gen 4 frontier >Gen 4 contests>underground tier bases>slow surfing on the water routes>"saving a lot of data">same old Pokenav functions on the touch screenNow that would be worse than HG/SS being released now.
