>>22108377>Really? If this is true, there might be more justification for them than I thought. Why are you arguing when you're disinformed?
Primals and MegaRay are precisely there because of lore.
>Quite. But some are. So you can't claim that megas are here to provide balance.Except that's the intent, not favoritism or taste. You're making an asumption just because a minimal portion of them are broken (and those aren't even from popular pokemon)
Out of more than 30, only 4-5 (forgot Mega Lucario, arguably the only non-Legendary, overpowered Mega that got a Mega out of popularity) are generally considered overpowered, while some others really improved the original pokemon (the ones that are considered overpowered, specifically Mawile and Khan, were shitmons before getting a mega too, not popular at all).
Overpowered megas aren't the fault of megaevolution, but simply design, like any other overpowered pokemon (Greninja, Aegislash, Shaimin-Sky, etc). Stop saying Megaevolution is shit because of this or because not everyone has it, like another anon said, it's like asking why not all pokemon have 600 BST.
>Though surely you see that even there they are being selectiveBecause they pick popular pokemon that mostly can integrate into their criteria for making megas, also, they won't put 100+ megas in one go, that's why we got things like Mega Audino this time around (it's popular and they probably wanted to make it a sturdy cleric for doubles), and not in XY.
