no, but i've definitely hidden my power level/withdrawn from the conversation around those types. it really isn't worth it, although my eye definitely does twitch a bit when someone brings up how they were the best kid on the playground because they had 5 charizard cards or whatever.

Ive never had anyone bash it though. They usually say they only played the first and that's it. Pokemon is really accepted here though. A women I work with actually wanted me to play with her son on pokemon, and asks me what games she should get him and stuff. Plus my gf and girlfriend plays, and they know plenty of people who play too. Pokemon isn't taboo.

Yeah we used to have identical taste in Gaming when we met in Highschool but now we've diverged so much sometimes its painful. He keeps bugging me about why I haven't gotten a PS4 yet and I'm like dude, I'm fine with my PC/3DS combo...if anything I want a WiiU over a PS4.

Last year I met this guy at a friends house (normalfag people) who just bought yellow and a gameboy because he was sure there was a legal trick to get Mew, and he stated pokemon started to be shit the moment you could know their gender (yeah, he seriously said that). That's the most nostalgiafag I've seen. I kinda insisted on him a bit but I gave up since I wasnt in the mood. I found plenty on the internet though. Ironically, while I was at this guy's house and met this guy I was discussing with a guy on my cell phone who claimed nostalgiafags didnt exist.

Aside from that you have some of my normalfag friends who also passively think Gen 1 is the only good one, but we never really talk about it.
