I honestly didn't touch Amie or Super Training more than a couple times this time around. They feel like XY things that I don't have any interest in anymore.

I don't care much for Amie after doing the same shit in it in XY and being really good at it there. I only got my starter to the max happiness so I could get it the ribbon.

Super Training I don't really even have that much of a use for either. I'm not a competitive player, and if I was I think i'd train it in the wild or something else.

I mean, there's the different evolution stones, but those I can get easy now from my base and I don't really need them since I have a living dex.

I only use PSS now for Wonder Trade, getting bases, GTS and seeing if my friends are online. Holo Caster too I guess to check the streetpasses, and O-powers when I was catching legends, but I got them all now.

I wish they'd have thought of some other Amie games and something else for Super Training.

Not that guy, but for me the postgame has always consisted of trying to finish all of the in-game stuff.

It's people like me who are disappointed at the lack of Battle Frontier, because it means there's basically no reason to train Pokemon.

Going back for making my living Pokedex, I absolutely fucking loved dexnav. I was so upset any time I had to venture back into XY for any Pokemon. I spent an entire fucking day in that frost cave trying to get a goddamned Cryogonal.
By the end of the second day of looking, I said fuck it and just traded for one on the GTS.

I hope at least something replaces it.

This is probably the reason why GF always cuts some features with each new game. It is boring if they just copypaste shit into every game.

Not including Hoenn Battle Frontier in ORAS was absolutely terrible though.

Maison was one of the most disappointing things of XY, remember when you first reached that town, looking around at the endgame things to do... you check out the safari with a bunch of pokes that weren't in the main game, stupid patch of grass but HAs and shit.
Go into the maison...it's fucking nothing, there isn't even multiple rooms like the Battle Tower, where are those trainers coming from?

No they didn't. Sure there wasn't a night/day cycle but R/S/E still had a timed clock that allowed Eevee to evolve correspondingly. That was the only catch though, I don't think Espeon/Umbreon could be obtained in FR/LG without trading to R/S/E first.

I feel like I'm the only person who loved nearly all of the side features they added in HGSS. PokeAthlon and making juice from apricorns, walking pokemon, customisable safari zone, pokewalker, voltorb flip, GB sounds, Berry pots... hell even the copy pasted BF in which I still put 100 or so hours because you could finally play co-op with a friend. I'm a hoennbaby at heart and I can only wish Gamefreak put as much soul in ORAS as they did in these 2 games.

Not exactly - R/S/E still technically had day and night; it just wasn't visible. That's how those games had timed events like growing berries and why you're asking to set your clock at the beginning of the game.
Fr/Lg had none of this, so if you were to try to evolve Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon on one of them, it wouldn't work.

Super Training only exists to EV train before you can get the optimal horde set-up, as well as grinding for stones.

Which you really shouldn't need to do anyway, but they thought removing the ability to buy them like in Gen 5 was a good idea.

Luckily I stopped that shit early in ORAS when my pokemon started to level up too quickly.

I think it worked a lot better in XY because there aren't as many trainers to fight in the game as there are in ORAS.

They're given out completely at random (and they usually give me shit like Hard Stones). Super Training is pretty easy and takes less than a minute per attempt (and there's a higher chance of getting the stone you want).

Since Dexnav gives me a way to see if I've caught everything on a route before I move on, I've been pretty diligent about filling my pokedex this time. It's much better than any previous searching setup. I'll be sad when it inevitably gets dropped.

I hope Amie sticks around, maybe with a few new minigames chucked in. Super Training is pretty bullshit though.

DexNav is one of the best features GF has ever implemented into a Pokemon game. For the first time since I was a kid, I've enjoyed collecting Pokemon rather than finding it a chore. The fact you have all these Pokemon listed out to you on your bottom screen and you can choose to encounter them once you've caught one is a godsend.

I never cared about the following Pokemon thing being removed, but this being removed in future installments actually upsets me.
