Parting Shot is really underrated. You could probably switch in to a bulky sweeper with a Pangoro lead.

Damn right they did, Drain Punch and Knock Off make for great STAB for it to use and its decent bulk is now easier to work with thanks to said Drain Punch, elemental punches make for nice coverage too. I can see it working well in UU now as scrafty once did in gen V, only Pangoro can actually hit hard on the spot rather than need +1 to not hit like a wet noodle.

Mold Breaker is only useful for hitting Rotom-W with Earthquake, but if you're not using that (it's hit really hard with Knock Off anyways), use Scrappy to check Sableye and make sure Gengar and other Ghosts can't just switch into Superpower freely.

You don't need Iron Head. All you just need is Fighting STAB and Poison coverage:

Hammer Arm deals a decent chunk on Mawile too:

It's worth nothing that with Iron Fist and Hammer Arm, it becomes just as powerful as Superpower, though you'll preferably want to use Scrappy most of the time.

Choice Band is practically the standard on him now. Choice Scarf just isn't fast or powerful enough, and having one of the most powerful Knock Offs in the game is always a good asset, especially considering it's more powerful than Bisharp's.

Pangoro also typically runs max Speed, so that outruns typical slow fairies.

Diancie nowaways run no bulk, so with the exception of Knock Off, it can't switch safely into Gunk Shot or Superpower. Take a look at these:

252+ Atk Choice Band Pangoro Superpower vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Diancie: 220-259 (91.2 - 107.4%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

252+ Atk Choice Band Pangoro Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Diancie: 147-173 (60.9 - 71.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

This is just regular Diancie. If Mega Diancie tries to switch in:

252+ Atk Choice Band Pangoro Gunk Shot vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Diancie: 192-226 (79.6 - 93.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

And no, obviously, you should never stay into a faster predicted Moonblast. If it's unevolved Mega Diancie, however, you can get away with KOing it with Superpower since Pangoro outruns typical variants.

The only fast fairies that are actually bothered to invest in their speed are Gardevoir, Diancie, Sylveon, Togekiss, and Azumarill, and typically the last three don't even do that.

And since panda invests fully in its speed (not Jolly mind you that's gross), you can expect it to outrun your typical Fairy-type and at least get a Gunk Shot off, so as long as you're smart and don't stay into fast offensive variants like fucking Mega Diancie and Gardevoir.

Fairies are actually the one of the lesser of Pangoro's concerns. Obviously he can get KO'd, but he has better things to worry about since he's typically switching out anyways.

Yeah, except you need actual defenses to set up like Scrafty does. Pangoro takes a bunch of crap from even neutral attacks while Scrafty and typically shrug them off with a whopping 115 SpD, and also has Shed shell and Intimidate to help it out.

If you really wanted to run a setup Pangoro, Swords Dance + Drain Punch is the best choice, although I'm not promising great results.

I've already done the math and run Bulk Up Pangoro a few times. He ends up losing around 50-ish stats total when you add up HP+Def+Sp.Def but what Pangoro can do to make up is 124+Iron Fist Drain Punch compared to Scrafty's base 90 attack. Pangoro also has a higher HP base stat, he loses more HP but also does more damage and gains more back.

I'd like to see other people try the set out, it's the best I could think of so far. It's pretty nice and unique if you want Drain Punch doing more damage.

There's no point to Mold Breaker, and there's no point to using Scrappy if you have Dark coverage for fighting moves, which you should have.

Iron Fist, even just for Ice Punch is the better option here.

If you're using sets that are locked into one move, Scrappy is marginally beneficial because it makes Pangoro a great Mega Sableye counter, even if it's burned (Knock Off fails to 2HKO). In lower tiers (basically Ghost-type: The GOLDEN Experience), it's good to have a fail-safe so they can't switch freely into superpower, especially in prediction battles with bulky steels and rocks. Ice Punch is also rarely used, so the only other move worth using with Iron Fist is Hammer Arm.

I haven't run Pangoro in this generation, but I used to run him Jolly with 252 atk and 252 speed plus a Choice Scarf. You're able to get off a parting shot most of the time, and it also did some decent damage and revenge killing.

Don't know how people run it now but it worked for me a while ago. I'd like to try it with the new move tutor attacks too.

You shouldn't be using parting shot for the hell of it, you should be using it during obvious switches for the pseudo memento when you being slow as balls won't make a difference. Jolly scarf pangoro is horrible. Adamant banded is the only way it's at all useable.

No, you don't use it for the hell of it. But it worked as a good lead if they try to set up early. Or if they force a swap and you want to prevent a Pokemon from doing too much damage. It was great in doubles too if you wanted to swap out into an intimidate user.

Like I said, I don't know how it stands now. But its mediocre bulk is why I never ran Choice Band. Unless you're forcing a swap it's been OHKO'd plenty, and it didn't have the moves it does in ORAS.

You could get off enough damage with a LO instead of band and (it works in NU I don't know about anywhere else) you can run an SD set that will probably get a kill against offense but will eat stall for breakfast.

And Togekiss does fully invest in speed. Only on Scarf and Stalbreaker sets. It can do multiple roles, so it isn't allways trying to be defensive. And you forgot about DD Altaria too.
