Hey /vp/ can I please have some ideas on how to EV train a 6IV brave natured Steelix? I'm looking to use it offensively rather than as a tank.

I'm completely stuck on whether to split it evenly between HP and Attack or Attack and Speed...

steelix isn't a good mon to use offensively, excadrill is better in pretty much every way

use sr/dragon tail/iron head/eq or coverage with hp/def evs or hp/sp def evs

if youre going to use a brave one you would want to gyro ball it, sadly you have it as a 6iv one so you have 31 speed ivs, it would have worked better if it had 0speed ivs

252atk 252hp 4def/spdef should be the basic set

I was hoping I could make its speed slightly less shit with the EV training but I guess it's fucking stupid trying to salvage a disastrously low stat

Just cause Excadrill has better attack and speed doesn't make Steelix redundant as a speed booster. Along with the fact that you'd play Steelix in a lower tier, 348 speed with +2 is not too slow to catch people off guard, and Steelix has Defense and Sturdy to take advantage of to get it. Because of this the opponent usually has to resort to Super Effectives for Steelix so Weakness Policy can be abused as well if he isn't a mega.

Did I mention Steelix is way cooler than Excadrill?
