They should introduce more offensive rock types. A few special speedy rock types would be cool. And some more special rock moves. At the very least give a special rock Mon technician so it could use HP rock or ancient power. But definitely STOP making slow defensive rock types. Not only do we already have plenty, but I think rock is and offensive type through and through, and not defensive.

I'm still butthurt Gigalith isnt a special attacker.
All his dex entries imply special attacker, and his special attack animation is awesome. Fucker doesnt look like he moves around much anyway. Just stands still and fires lasers and shit.
But nope, Golem 2 physical wall slow asrock type with Sturdy and I doubt they'd ever completely redo a pokes stats to make Gigalith the laser rock turret he deserves to be.

In conclusion, Fuck.

This so much. This more then anything I've seen on this board since.
Right now Gigalith's onpy niche is putting up Stealth Rock, throwing some Stone Edges if you get the chance, and self destructing once its use has seen through. It deserves better.

with max speed and rock polish it could outspeed maxspeed base 100 at level 50, or max speed base 98 at level 100, so it's not as slow as you're making it look

Not sure what >>22117461 tried to say but the point is, that EVs contribute a fuckton of speed even to mons with shit base speed. A full speed gigalith has a speed stat of 163, which after getting doubled by rock polish can outspeed a lot of shit, like a fully invested modest espeon for example.

Modest espeon and other base 110s hit 319 neutral nature speed 252eevees.

Pointing out though, base 110 speed is a competitive speed tier in which almost all mons are either jolly or timid ex. Lati@s, gengar, mega Gallade, etc.

Here's a list of all the Rock-type Pokemon with a Special Attack of at least 100:
Mega Diancie (160)
Arceus-Rock (120)
Omastar (115)
Archeops (112)
Diancie (100)

3 of them are legendary Pokemon (with one of those not being a real rock-type and the other two being the same Pokemon). As for the other two, one of them has a crippling ability and a much better Attack stat. As for Omastar, it's alright but it's fairly mediocre and slow as shit.

When will we get a real Special-Attacking Rock Pokemon?
