This is something many people do not think about.

In B2/W2 PWC was just constructed, this is ORAS. Meaning Black/White's events happen about the same time as ORAS's.

Alternative timelines possibly?

PWT is what Black and White 2 had. PWC is the official name for the VGC tournaments.

Yes, I think the point of the Facilities was always to be a gateway to competitive battling, and now they're just outright advertising their metagame. They kind of did this in Black and White 2 as well with the Download Tournaments with teams based on people from the VGC quarterfinals.
