I can confirm with these guys that hypnosis-then-false swipe is the best tactic to capturing any mon (as long as it does not know recover or runs out of pp fast). Then again, if you don't care about balltism, a quick ball, followed by dusk/nest balls if it fails, is generally the way to go.

Chances are it was shit. Last legit shiny I caught before this week was a shiny Slugma in Ruby when I was a lad. Caught a Geodude this week and hatched an Adamant 5iv Shiny Cyndaquil........speed is 24.
