Are X/Y the worst pokemon games to be released? Not counting things like trozei and dash of course

And these may just be personal things but I didn't like the story. Or the 3D characters/pokemon.

ORAS trounced XY in all those factors. It will be a shit game for the ages. I hope to hell GameFreak realises this and changes things for the better.

Megas are dumb, see above.
EXP share makes no difference. It's dumbed down by default.
Story in XY is the worst yet, bar rby which did not have one.
The models cause too many problems, lag is just one of them. And they STILL manage to look bad.

D/P were a shitty pair of games, but the music and physical/special split redeemed it. X/Y brought nothing interesting to the table, ESPECIALLY the music.

It had all the same problems as XY, with no effort shown to fix it. Classic features were removed by the dozen, and very few crappy new ones were substituted instead, or just recycled directly from XY. I could go on, but those were the biggest problems.

I doubt the graphics are changing at all, this is the gen VI engine shit or not. Incoming framerate drops and pastel washed out colours.

Story? yeah probably, might even be good if ORAS is any indication.

Music? Probably a few new tracks. Plat didn't have different music to DP apart from new areas and giratina, after all.

Oh and new megays.

I always laugh when people say XY is easy. Have the exp share off from the start and raise a team of six.

You will be underleveled the whole time. In the late game, repels stop working because the wild Pokemon are too high in level.

My team was mid 50s when I got to the E4 and I had a hell of a time. I was fighting every trainer too and it was rough. Diantha's Gardevoir could 2HKO my entire team, I was lucky that my Delphox was faster and could barely 4HKO with Shadow Ball.

Also, don't use Return, it's never gonna be powerful because everything 2HKOs your Pokemon.

Other criticisms I can agree with somewhat, but this was definitely the hardest Pokemon game to date. At least in Platinum you weren't 10 levels below everything all the time.

I did just that, with no Amie boosts or super training, with only Kalos native mons, and I was STILL overleveled.
I mopped the floor with the E4 with a Barbaracle and an Aromatisse.

Unless you're intentionally avoiding as many battles as possible [which is more work than it's worth] there's no reason you should ever have problems in XY.

I discussed this with someone earlier today and that's my greatest fear.
I like to think that D/P was really bad so they made Platinum which fixed pretty much everything, however, the possibility of GF giving Z/X2/Y2 the same treatment is pretty damn slim.
I just can't put my faith in the Game Freak any more.

It's funny how the same people who called X/Y too easy went out to say ORAS was pretty challenging even when Ohmura and Masuda admited it was even more casual. Goes to show how stupid and deluded one can get only to defend their preshus reejun.

I have a certain set up, with my starter being the highest level, then the first two Pokemon I caught being a level below and then the last three Pokemon being a level below that.

I also had a full team of six by Frost Cavern. And I fought EVERY trainer. Revive, Moomoo Milk and Revival Herb were my most used items.

I had to keep Delphox in front position for most of Victory Road to stop the wild Pokemon appearing too much and even then, there were still ones higher than me.

I loved every second of it.

This may end up being true, but D/P are still worse than X/Y.

I'm hopeful though. BW2 were pretty great once I got used to them, and Gamefreak have had a couple of games on the new engine now to work the bugs out and focus on the fun stuff.
