As for the Treeko, there's a calender that has one in it together with some of their other Pokemon and we all expected Serena to get a Hoenn starter because of ORAS.
Also, Clemont has a grass starter already and Ash has a Sceptile, so it would make the most sense if it becomes Serena's.
