Even in Kanto Fire wasn't that great...

Outside Charizard and Moltres, you just had Rapidash, Magmar, Ninetales, Arcanine, and Flareon. All plain Fire outside Charizard and Moltres.

And because of Version Exclusives, Red players would only have Arcanine, Rapidash, and Flareon. And since you only got one Eevee and they were rare, you might not even get a Flareon if you choose Jolteon or Vaporeon.

Well, you think it might make a bit of sense if there were a lot of Fire Pokemon in Sinnoh, Pokemon that evolved natural heat to survive the cold.

I think really it's just because there's no natural animals that really embody Fire, there's less of them. Water and Grass have a ton of real-world things to draw from, but Fire you gotta get a bit creative, or else everything ends up being "creature with fire powers" .

So, what Types got the most fucked in each Gen, in your opinion?

Gen 1 was Ghost and Dragon, but at that point they were meant to be rare...Gen 2 only having Kingdra and Misdreavus was lame.

Gen 3 was Fire.

Gen 4 was Fire, again.

Gen 5 was...I'm not sure?

Gen 6 was definitely Ground.

I would have been fine with wallbreaker heatmor but the thing is its stats are pretty average in its offenses but lackluster everywhere else, a small buff in speed or its bulk would help a lot since they both fall short.

Gen 5 was probably Psychic or Rock. Victini, Reuniclus and Sigilyph are the only decent Psychic-types and they gimped a good Rock-type in the game with a shitty ability, Terrakion's the only standout.
Water's also a candidate but Pringles and Rotom-W kinda save it.

Gen 6 fucked several different types equally.

Not every animal should have the power to destroy the habitat of most other animals.
It's not hard to see why it would be a problem if 1/5 pokes have a flaming head/ass and set shit on fire.

I'd be willing to bet that if it were the other way around, you'd complain about how there are too many fire types or that routes arnt singed to a crisp with all the fire-mons about the place.

If you had a bunch of them then it could easily cause fires about the place if it was your average woodlands or something, places like the desert would make sense because warm, dry area and volcanos obviously, they really dropped the ball on the volcano though only having like 3 fire types.

Uh, what? Just because they have shitty variety doesn't mean they aren't ground trainers, just like Aqua are obviously water trainers. They don't exactly use a ton of fire types either y'know. They've used 2 ground types across RSE & ORAS, they are chasing after a ground type legendary, literally their entire goal is to make more land.
