It felt good hatching two shiny Karrablasts in a row in batch of five. Totally unexpected, and I was too hype. First one came out as 31/x/31/31/31/31, female. Second came out as 31/31/x/31/31/31, but the x was actually 27 IVs in Defense, and it was male, so I kept it and EV trained it. Best part is, they hatched with Knock Off, Drill Run, and Megahorn. August 16 was a good day. Even before this, I hatched a shiny Meditite without MM'ing, but the IVs were shit, so my friend wanted it.

So I thought i'd slap this name back on just for this occasion since its the only reason I used the tag in the first place. To help encourage tony to hunt for his ho-oh a few months back while I also looked.

Pic related. Finally got shiny ho-oh! If you count all the restarted files from discouragement/getting out of shiny hunting phases i've been swinging in and out "Please meds get here soon, fuck" of it goes up to a total 19,222 SRs for this ho-oh. On this file I only put in 1,222 SRs though.
Finally since I have the name tag on this last part is to the main shiny hunting group from here that spends time hunting and hanging out outside of the threads. I've caused a bunch of drama lately by repeatedly deciding to drop shiny hunting and announce that I was leaving and cycle back into shiny hunting and come back which has come off as very abandoning and frustrating for everyone and I do apologize for that. Thanks for being patient and understanding with me. Domino right now i'm still looking for your shiny stuff and i'll send the games back to you when I find them. I'm shiny hunting for my own stuff also atm.

To me a good amount of the appeal factor in the shiny encounter is when it finally arrives out of the blue. You see so many videos and pics after they found it but that extra shock value of actually seeing it appear and sharing that moment with them is pretty cool.

Plus to the player recording it preserves the moment the shiny decided to show up forever after you caught it and its cool to look at an old video of somethng you found.

I don't think its bad to react. Its a lot of patience and sacrifice for something you really want to have so its great to finally see it showing up.

According to serebii, shiny rate in XY and ORAS with shiny charm is 1/1365.3. In BW2 it's 1/2730.6. With masuda method and shiny charm the rate seems to be even lower.

Back when Pokebank was out in Japan, there were /vp/ threads that were generously trading out exclusive bankmons that couldn’t be caught in XY. It became sort of a thing where if you have a couple of bankmons, you can trade them for other ones. Along the way person gave me a treecko with its hidden ability. I recall getting an iron fist chimchar as well?
