I honestly don't know how people didn't pick Diantha from the very beginning. Although, Sycamore would have made a great red-type post game battle considering he used all three gen 1 starters. He could have had a version exclusive mega charizard as his ace because there wasn't enough gen 1 pandering. As much as /vp/ would whinge about this at least it would have been something to do post game.

I haven't played ORAS, so can't tell if it's just the new size of the overworld that make it like this, but it felt small as fuck.
Now if Hoenn, that felt quite big in RSE, feels the same in ORAS, it might not be Kalos that is small but just the new outlet that make it seem like this...

Kalos seems small because of the rollerblades and the lack of hm moves needed for things that block the path. don't know if it's just me, but the route from lumiose to laverre felt longer than usual because 1. no rollerskates in the marsh and 2. winding pathway.

I always liked the theory that the Striaton trio was the Shadow Triad pre-BW2. It made a lot of sense.
I'm still salty that they added one memory flashback which sole purpose was to debunk that theory.
