Why composing a fucking masterpiece of a theme for this fucker if they're going to make the battle easy as fuck. We all probably swept the guy with just one pokémon. This game has no challenge whatsoever.

And don't tell me to turn Exp Share off, because I did.

I wasn't sure if he was gonna heal my Pokemon before the battle (he didn't) and I didn't pack any revives for Victory Road (I'm an idiot who didn't check to see if I still had any,) so I fought him with only 3 Pokemon with a little wear and tear on each of them. I managed to win, but it was a fucking fight to the finish. I liked it.

Nearly every single gym leader or e4 member got beat with only 1 pokemon, and i wasnt using XP share.

I'd say those two are the only valid ones, since they add a new level of easyness to the games and can be easily applied. The other three could be considered only self challenges since they limit your choices of Pokemon considerabily.

Well, to be honest I almost got swept because his whole team was 7-8 lvs above mine but I rushed thru the game without Exp. Share and evading every other trainer. The only reason I won is because Sableye walls his SD Gallade but look how hard I had to try to make it hard

That theme is actually horrible. The mood is great and it sets a great atmosphere, but it's basically the same thing every 10 seconds. They had the right idea though, if only that song wasn't so damn repetitive.

I turned off exp share, switched battle to set and used a homegrown team.

The entire game was easy until I got to elite 4 and steven. Most of the elite 4 wasn't so bad, but Steven was a bitch. Most of that was because his pokemon were vastly higher leveled than mine.

I'm fairly certain that if I had so much as turned exp share on, the entire game would have been a cakewalk.

Pokemon games have become inexcusably easy since Black and White. While I like everything else about the recent games, the difficulty (or lack thereof) probably needs to be balanced better.

As far as I recall, pretty much the only rivals I didn't enjoy battling were XY shits.

But at least you could actually go out all against him unlike pretty much everyone else except maybe Norman.

If people would go back to the older games they'd find out that the main game always was easy as shit if you didn't handicap yourself.
But people now aren't kids anymore, they know what they are doing, what mons to use, etc.
Of course I'm not denying that the games actually got a lot more easier, but I'm saying that Pokémon was never about the difficulty. It was never marketed as a challenging game.

tl;dr: If you want challenging games, you shouldn't play Pokémon. Or Nintendo games at all.
