Do these games fix any of the flaws in X and Y?

I'm not going to encourage Game Freak to make more shitty games, and I can't trust reviewers because they always give Pokemon games the same score.

Not really. Same framerate issues, same 3D issues, and the post-game is only marginally better.

Not OP, but XY was awful.
Great pokemon, customization.

Shit villains, shit region (boring), shit music (boring), no postgame, forgettable leaders/e4, shit rivals and story.

Slightly better post game. Thats about it. Form your opinion if you think the new stuff is worth getting it for.

Honestly it felt like XY 1.5 for me
The only time it stood out was when you catch Groudon/Kyogre, it was very immersive and a very good section.
Apart from that it was bland in my opinion and sort of a chore to finish. Far from bad but definitely "meh" in my book.

Depends on what you didn't like about XY.

I personally thought XY was good from a technical standpoint, but the overall experience was kind of bland. ORAS keeps all the technical strengths (character customization notwithstanding), but also feels really alive, vibrant, and brimming with personality.

If you liked RS, you'll probably really like ORAS, because everything is not only polished, but also a lot more fleshed out.

As someone who could not get into R/S/E to save his life, I loved ORAS. I quite enjoyed X & Y, but I feel like ORAS polishes it around the edges. It still might not be your cup of tea though.
