I don't have the time to address all these points, some of them valid, like the Gliscor thing. But Gliscor is rapidly declining in usage lately as it doesn't really have many worthwhile niches in this meta.

Buy anyway, in a nutshell, the balanced and "meh" stats that M-Altaria admittedly has contribute to its versatility and unpredictability. 110 Att is meh, I'll concede that. But after a DD? Adamant, ×1.3 STAB Return or Double Edge? For reference Double Edge has equal BP as Flare Blitz, Pixilate boosts Fairy moves equally as much as Tough Claws, so the only thing that really separates motherfucking ZARD X and M-Altaria is 20 base Att when using STAB moves. That's ridiculous. M-Altaria also isn't weak to SR after mega evolving which is a problem for Zard X.

This isn't even scratching the surface of mixed sets, special sets, specially or physically defensive sets. Hell it even learns Sing. You can drop Roost on the standard DD set for Substitute or Heal Bell to fuck its checks that rely on status or priority to neuter.

I don't know, I just highly recommend you play with it and see for yourself. I run the DD set and I've never felt like it hits weak even when I run it Jolly.

And even if you don't like it, we're a fanbase that worships a show that had less plot and character development than TPPs fanfiction, so all the energy directed should be towards that (which is an official product of the franchise) instead of a massive fan reinterpretation of a game we won 10000 times. Think about it. What would he gain in the grand scheme of things from getting a bunch of people, anonymous people mind you, to agree with him about the gender of a fictional creature? Nothing. Not a God damn thing.

Some kind of an ego boost. It's really fucking pathetic since his spam is having the opposite effect on me. What am I an idiot for not catching? I conceded that physically defensive Gliscor does indeed wall M-Altaria's DD set. I had nothing to do with the other poster you quoted. I was simply listing the pokemon's attributes, versatility, and unpredictability. But then again, this is /vp/, where most people are terrible at competitive. The point is that Gliscor doesn't wall shit. Mega Altaria tears through it with Pixilate Return after a DD. Here's the calc the other guy posted:

First problem: Mega Altaria cannot hold a Life Orb. That should've been a clue. And it turns out that the only way for a 252+ Life Orb Altaria to deal 32.3-38.3% to 244/0 Gliscor with Pixilate Return is if it's just a regular Altaria in every other regard, without the extra 40 base Attack or Fairy-type STAB from Mega Evolving. I already posted the corrected calc. The other guy's an idiot for spouting bullshit, and you're a fool for not picking up on it.

Mega Altaria is great. Your reading comprehension skills are the opposite of that.
