Shiny Pokemon are completely devalued to me now since you can easily just horde them.
I remember first hearing about Shiny Pokemon in roughly 2008. I had been playing Pokemon for over 10 years and didn't even know they existed till a friend told me about them. Had never seen one in the wild. They seemed so awesome and I loved that the chance of getting one was ridiculously low.
Out of curiosity, I chained on Pokemon Y to see how easy it was with the new method, and got one in about 15 minutes. It is a shiny Ursaring. I still have it, but it just isn't special. I still look forward to the day, after many years of playing, that I encounter my first legit shiny pokemon. I will treasure that fucker, and I will always know that that was my reward for years of playing.
