Arcanine has a really classic design. It was my first favourite Pokemon ever too. It was the reason I always got Red over Blue.

I wish I could bring my old bro over from Pokemon Red, but he's stuck in there forever.

I always liked Jolteon a lot. Fast, good special attacker, learned Thunder Wave which was always useful. The only downside is it didn't get more coverage moves back then.

Very few people say much good about the bulbasar line and so it gets over shadowed by the other two starters, but ever since i picked bulbasuar in leaf green I've had nothing but love for the whole line.

The list of Pokemon I love from gen 1 is pretty short. Most of them were too underwhelming to be fun, or I liked solely because of later revisions (Magnezone, Magmortar, etc).
