Doubles/VGC thread?

So I have a Modest Feebas sitting in my box ready to EV train, but I can't figure out how much bulk & speed it should run, what are the important speed benchmarks I could aim to hit? Is there a standard spread at all?

Honestly I didn't put any speed EV's in at all, putting 252 in HP and 252 in SPA. That was one I ran in both singles and doubles, though, and I figured the speed would be a wasted investment if I was taking sticky webs.

The toughest part is deciding between HP Grass and HP Electric.

With 81 speed you aren't going anywhere.

well why have you put it on your team in the first place? figure out what your team is weak to that would necessitate a water type in the first place and build around that. assault vest sets seem quite popular at the moment. always good to make sure you live modest max spA zard y solarbeam as well.

It's not really on a team yet, but I'm mainly using it to counter Intimidate spam from Lando and Salamence who are on every team

EV it to survive max attack adamant mega sallys double edge (252 hp 20 def accomplishes this but you can EV further to live it better depending on other factors like fake out) and to KO back with ice beam. lewdest-colo & modest zard y solarbeam are main special attacks that come to mind at the moment but with investment and/or assault vest shouldn't be much to worry about.

I've been thinking about running a competitive (the ability) Milotic. With all the intimidates around getting a free +2 SpA could be really nice. Just whether to go Modest with bulk or Timid with a scarf, with which it can outpace MegaManectric with ease.

Doing some damage calcs, there's very few OHKOs or 2HKOs you can get with Modest and not with Calm, which gets you slightly more total stat points.
I'm thinking 252HP/4Def/164SpA/92SpD Calm
The 4Def lets it always survive Kangaskhan's Return with at least one HP, it's powerful enough to OHKO 4HP Garchomp with Ice Beam, as well as 4HP Mega Manectric and all Mega Salamence after intimidate.
