ITT we circlejerk and shit on how bad the Pokemon community is.
It's filled with children, adults who act like children, and the special internet breed of male fans who try to act tough on the internet to compensate for liking a children's game. And that cesspool of autism doesn't even begin to get into all the weird furry shit and the like.
The only Pokemon event I attended was the Journey Across America mall tour for the 10th anniversary. I was just a kid at the time, but the distinct impression of everyone being a combination of ugly, weird, autistic, and just abnormal never left me.
All the popular Pokemon people on Youtube are great examples of what I described above. It's beyond me how hundreds of thousands of people actually enjoy watching them play the game while being REALLY FUCKING LOUD with really unfunny commentary. You'd never let an autist go on open mic and expect to fill up 10-30 minutes of silence, yet on Youtube it's okay.
