IVs. They should get rid of them or they should have a feature in-game that allows you to improve your Pokemon's ivs/max them out for a price. IVs are fucking retarded and do nothing except encourage people to use Pokegen or what have you.

Improve ice types.

Add more features/things to do in post-game. Possibly include a miniature scaled down version of the pokemon tcg (similar to the Pokemon TCG on Gameboy Color) as a side-game similar to contests. It could have its own gyms and badges separate from the main game.

Ability Capsule should be an infinitely usable item.

I don't really see the problem with Fairy. It doesn't seem to me like too many fairy types are tearing up the meta game. There are just as many really crappy or average ones as good ones.

I honestly feel that fairy is more balanced than dragon types, which were broken for multiple generations.

You fucking retard. The Pokemon don't make the type imba. This is why we got Fairy faggots in the first place; idiots like you thinking that Garchomp and Dragonite suddenly made Dragon OP, when it was the Pokemon being exceptionally gifted in terms of stats and moves that made them so strong.

Just because Fairy is 90% shitmon doesn't mean the type isn't OP. It's incredibly fucking strong. It was strong enough to bring Mawile and Gardevoir up several tiers, even without their megas. It was strong enough to make Azumarill one of the top threats of OU.

The type itself is broken. More broken than Dragon ever was. Just because it doesn't have a Pokemon with higher stats than a lot of legendaries, with a massive movepool and excellent stat spread doesn't mean it isn't broken.

You could make any of the "OP Dragons" any other type in the game and they would still be fucking over powered you dolt. Garchomp could've been Poison/Ice type and still been tearing everyone a new asshole. Nerfing a mediocre type like Dragon does not balance the meta.

Mainly the fact that after almost 20 years we're still playing Red and Green remakes. Sure game mechanics were refined over the years, but it's still the same game.
Apart from a structural change pokémon won't get anytime soon because of CASH, the main problem with me now are the COSTANT nostalgia pandering and that GF doesn't seem to care about the older fanbase at all.

Purely subjective. Emerald and Platinum are nowhere near the top so you can go fuck yourself. The first two Generations have one huge difference when compared to the more recent games: they're not linear. Tajiri obviously loved exploring, and the games turned into linear bullshit immediately when Masuda took his place. Also, in the first two Generations the games don't hold your hands and carefully guide you from A to B, you actually have to find HMs and look for shit if you want to progress. They feel much more like real adventures and open world games because you have multiple choices when you reach halfway of the game.

It was, just like every other Pokemon. I bet you're one of those idiots who thinks all Pokemon should be top tier threats in OU. Pokemon is much more than just battling, and this is reflected by the fact that many of them are not made for battling. In case you didn't know, the games also feature stuff like Pokeathlon, musicals, Pokestar Studios, Pokemon Amie, contests, and so on, none of which have anything to do with competitive viability. I swear to god I'll never understand why /vp/ hates baby Pokemon so much.

Character customization and 3D models should have been standard since the DS was introduced that could introduce to them. Honestly, GF and Nintendo are really slow on anything standard for their series that has been on other RPGs for far longer. Yet, they keep arbitrarily removing and adding in features.

I’m fond of soaring, player bases, dexnav and the ability to fly to any route, not just cities, in ORAS, but I honestly bet money that GF is going to remove two or more features above in latter installments; even if it appeals to audiences and especially if doesn’t take any effort to add it in, like character customization.

The grinding. Exp share takes care of that for the most part in X/Y & ORAS, but there's still EV training. Takes forever to do. Honestly, I'd like them to flat out remove the feature, so it comes down to the movepools, rather than who EV trained their mon's the most.

What about fire type itself? Most fire types are resisted by other fire types as well. Just because they learn solar beam doesn't mean they can use it effectively either. By the same token, most water types learn moves to counter the types that resist their STAB, but not all water types are good enough to use them. Otherwise OU and UU would be more water by part per 100 than Hoenn.

This is essentially the biggest problem with the games that I can see.

I feel like a smart move would be to increase the AI difficulty of the trainers you encounter throughout the story line in order to help prepare players for the competitive meta. Right now, the games teach you type advantages, and that's about it. If Gym Leaders and the Elite Four (hell, even trainers along routes) actually utilized unique combinations of hold items and abilities, I think more players would be interested in competitive on the cartridge.

Things like Super-training were a step in the right direction, but it's actually pretty ironic that the same Gen that they introduce a more accessible method to EV training, they also introduce horde battles to make that method of training immediately obsolete.

I've heard numerous friends with an interest in Pokemon tell me that competitive is too inaccessible to invest their time in it. Essentially, it's downright sad that the games have so many NPCs, Trainers, and locations they could utilize to actually teach the players and foster the competitive meta-game, yet they would rather put in helpless text about how friendship saves the day.

That being said, I do think Super Training was a good idea, although it could use some tweaks. I know that the first time I made a "competitive" team, it was a bunch of shitmons that couldn't hold a candle to what my friends were using, and I stopped playing for about a year because all the effort I put into a bunch of shitmons got me nowhere.

I realized how poorly designed the games have gotten when May stopped me to look at some Beautifly flying by. There was no reason to have that in the game. It didn't teach me anything, it wasn't fun. I can at least sort of understand the forced tutorials (though I'd prefer them to just skip all that shit if you click "No info needed" during the intro), but they also need to stop making me look at all this pointless shit, and the stories need to start being told much more minimalistically. I could cut the word count of forced dialogues in half in every game since RSE, easily, and still tell the same story.

exp.share used to be not handed to you. If you're gonna have an item that makes the game too easy for a newborn ebola nigger without arms and brains, at least give it later on in the game or even Post Game. Or you know implement some sort of hard mode (which they sorta had in BW2, something that they should've improved upon)
