Thought it was pretty cool and got some nostalgia from it. Was sorta confused by Giovanni in the last (second to last?) episode, but I guess that's how he acted in the games too? Referring to his change of heart

Also, fucking Mega stones outta nowhere. Didn't know about that going into it.

Spoilers in case people still haven't watched. Just barely saw it a few weeks ago.

I liked it. i wish they made a parallel anime this way, since Ash and Pika will never go. Two animes for two different audiences. I think Pokémon has a big enough fanbase and potential to allow both.

It was ok. Definitely needed more episodes. Hopefully someday they're smart enough to make a 24 episodes show in order to cover gym leader fights and other areas such as safari zone, ss anne and victory road.

Battles rushed as fuck, they didn't even bother with the Giovanni and Champion Blue one.

Too many few eps (I guess it was due to budget) skipping a lot of important stuff
Even the Mewtwo fight was pretty meh (even the fucking "Aim for the horn!" Ash battle was more exciting)
Pretty meh overall, even web comics give me more nostalgia than that thing.

I don't get why people complain about how it was only 4 episodes long. I personally think it's better when they focus only on the very key moments since it avoids filler (pretty much every gym battle was going to be the same so it was good that they didn't show them in full).

forgive my autism but Charizard X ruined what was at first a perfect representation of Gen 1. he was non-canon and was only featured for advertising purposes. i do love Charizard X as a bro, but we really didnt need that form of modernization
