So, I bought myself a nice 2DS to play ORAS, X, & Black and I'm highly interested in getting HeartGold as well. My recent rejuvenation with Pokémon is PokéBank. Now, my Pokémon are for real, no longer stuck within cartridge. I love how you can move them from game to game.

I understand that Black & White don't have Pokébank, but you can use Poké Transporter to move them into Pokébank with the help of either X&Y or ORAS.

However, does Transporter also work for HeartGold?

HeartGold to Black&White then to X&Y/ORAS then Pokébank.

Old forum posts say it does, but recently I think it changed. It'd be a waste to buy HeartGold if I can't move the Pokémon into Pokébank.
