So what was your first non-intentional shiny in ORAS? Stories? How did Masuda-san surprise you? :-)

Mine was pic related a couple minutes ago, managed to pop it in a heal ball too... although it suits the regular Cresselia a lot better, it was the best I had on hand. I suppose I have the Hball's shitty catch rate for forcing me to SR a couple times.

I was hunting for 3IV Cottonee for breeding, but then a shiny Slakoth popped out. Caught it, but then it has shitty IVs and the wrong nature, so I GTS'd it for a Palkia.

Not too uncommon that, I think I had two in silver (I played that to death, and I think I once killed a shiny ho-oh b/c i thought it was just its regular entry animation). I ran into a couple on emulators, but seeing as that shouldn't count I only ran into a golurk in b2 and a noctowl in x.

So that puts me at 4-5? Still pretty low seeing as I've been playing since g1.

I found a shiny Magikarp unintentionally at Petulburg City when I was looking for a Corpish for the Pokedex.
Since chain fishing's are thing now, I used him on my team all the way to the league.
Shiny Gyarados vs Primal Kyogre and Shiny Mega Gyarados vs Steven's Mega Matagross was really cool to see.

I know the feels bro. Almost same story minus the Ho-Oh. Had the gyrados of course, but also had a Magby I breeded cause breeding was the shit. then in ruby I had a slugma, and then x and y a Noctowl, and a volt tackle pichu I bred for. leaving me at six now with muh Cyndaquil..
I have a few shinies from trades and give aways but only 6 on my own.... feels low.

Now I've a full box of random/intentional/official distribution shinies and a box of hacked ones when I thought it was cool to do RNG abuse in 4th gen. Still fun, but I don't remember my SID. Most recent was a chained shiny Zorua.

After having SR'd for a few days it almost feels like they've lowered the shiny rate for the legendaries in ORAS. Either that or I've been extremely lucky.

In roughly 4450 SR's with shiny charm I've found 7 shiny legendaries.
