Yeah no first chill out. It's the internet kiddo, you should know people are going to have different opinions to you. Secondly, I didn't mention competitive battling at all. Baby pokemon bloated the dex and just made it a pain in the ass to use those evo lines thanks to the bullshit max happiness requirements.

The correct way to post is to say that platinum was the best pokemon game followed by HGSS. Plat had the best music and meta in the history of pokemon. Moreover, it fixed most of if not all of the issues D/P had gameplay wise. Story wise it had fantastic lore and introduced the goddamn creators of the pokemon world.

Personally I also like it because they introduced my favorite eeveelutions. But that's thr most arguable of my points, the rest you should agree with or you have bad taste in pokemon games and by extension you are part of the cancer killing the series.

The sinnoh babbies aren't pointless because some moves can only learned by egg moves on them. e.g., only Budew can learn Extrasensory as an egg move, Roselia cannot.

I hope you are kidding. Gen 4 (Diamond/Pearl) were easily the worst Pokemon games, and practically killed the series for me.

Platinum on the other hand was fucking excellent, and is certainly one of the best in the series. It fices so much shit that was wrong with DP, while only having a few shortcoming (mostly faults of the gen IV engine).

I heartily look forward to remakes assuming the use Platinum as reference. I'm afraid they may mess it up trying to do 2 versions (will there still be distortion world and story?). Everything was so much better in Platinum, so I'm hopeful.

I fucking love Platinum, but I'm dreading remakes. I really hope they don't fuck it up as bad as ORAS but I have confidence in Gamefreak.

The 2D graphics in-battle are nice, even if they aren't animated. However, the pseudo-3D of the overworld is absolutely hideous, causing even the sprites to look bad because of the scaling.

This was the generation that lowered our standard to 30fps, and the next gen brought us back to 60 for battles, so this is arguably the worst aside from Gen 6 in the framerate department.

Underground was a nice mini-game, but not much else. There have been much more substantial sidegames before and since then, like bases, PokeStar Studios, the Hoenn Contests.

The rest of the list I think is fine, but the internet connection doesn't really mean anything anymore, since you can't access it.

Mold Breaker also gets retooled to go past type immunities along with abilities, you can hit a Multiscale Dragonite with Earthquake or a Sylveon with Outrage and don't give a fuck about your attacks being stopped.

Would it really make a difference?

Ampharos can now Volt Switch on ground types.

Haxorus can go back to his old gen 5 ways and use banded Outrage.

Excadrill can now EQ Talonflame and Dragonite.

Hawlucha prefers unburden, Druddigon prefers rough skin, no change for Gyarados, Pangoro prefers iron fist and Rampardos still dies to everything.
