Happy Holidays, /vp/!
I've been wondering what the general consensus is on this board as to which the best generation is the best, and which is the worst? As such, I've devised a poll that I hope will answer this question. This poll will close automatically at the New Year, GMT.
You'll rank the six generations from 1-6, 1 being the best, 6 being the worst. You'll be ranking them on Pokemon Design, Game Play, Post Game Content, Aesthetics, Music, Plot and Lore, and finally, Overall.
I will not reveal the results until January 1st.
All of that said, please keep all discussion civil. This is not meant to be a genwar. I want to make this and all subsequent threads last the next two weeks. Thank you for your respect.

It's difficult to rank them in generational chunks. DP had shit gameplay and aesthetic, but Platinum improved them substantially. XY has a boring plot and lore, but ORAS complimented it well.

Gen 1 is the worst. Worst look, buggy mess, most boring pokemon, dull samey region, and it's the only generation where all the starters are just unappealing.

I've always felt like regions should be compared instead of gens. I mean, it's like someone adding a mod to an existing game and saying "I made a better game!". While that's true, I feel like the originals are more deserving. Even without the remakes, pokemon is a series that keeps a lot of things from past gens each time, especially game mechanics. Which means a gen has to try really hard to be worse than its predecessor, like genVI did.
