As much as I'd love to help, that's a super vague question.
You should just go with the flow and catch whatever Pokemon that you like on your journey. That's what I did, at least.
I particularly enjoyed catching a Scyther from the Bug Catching Contest.
Its rarity made it feel cool to have on my team.
