>>22248910>>22248910Now we're getting somewhere.
>Run 6, pick 4One thing I think is better than Smogon Doubles. Calls upon your ability to counterpick more in a best-of-2 format. You get to be a little more creative in what you pick to bring out, but also eases prediction too.
>AccuracyDeal with it. No one likes this either, but if every move was accurate, the meta would be even shittier in my opinion.
>Narrow PoolOkay, it might not be true for VGC15 cuz it's National dex, but last year, you could only work with the Kalos dex, which made for some interesting choices when it came to teammates. Look at Se Jun Park's pick in Pachirisu. Only pokemon with Volt Absorb, Follow Me, and Super Fang at the time. An amazing strategy brought about by the scope of the Kalos dex.
>EV SpreadsBecause pokemon are set to level 50, which affects gains EVs, careful EV spreads are made so that they don't squander the pokemon's potential Mega Mawile is the biggest example of this was the old 252 Attack EVs. You weren't gaining any meaningful KOs by fully investing in attack. Ray Rizzo's Mawile had only 52 EVs, enough to still KO what it needs to KO. That allowed him to invest more in defenses, which let his Mawile Survive a fully invested Charizard-Y Heat Wave, so he could OHKO. In other words, EV spreads matter more in regards to what you really want to do. Compared to Smogon Singles/Doubles' typical "252/252/4" spreads. We have those here, but not as much.
There's more stuff, but I hope this answers some your "concerns".
>>22248975Crude, but somewhat accurate comparison sans the Unbalanced part. It's less unbalanced than singles IMO.
