You can easily tell how much Game Freak cares about a certain Pokemon by the amount of in-battle animations it has. You can see all of these in the ORAS Pokedex.

Pic related only has 2 animation: physical attack and special attack.
They didn't even bother making a random idle animation for it, so Nidoking might as well not exist for them.
