The extremist, "tumblr" opinion of feminism has actually been around since the 1960's, just now a days a few of the younger generation have taken to following it. It's cool, they'll grow out of it and move into the much more equal version of feminism when they grow up and realize hate isn't as cool and edgy as they think it is.
True feminism actually promotes complete equality for both genders, and also for many underprivileged groups throughout the world, that's the kind of feminism I mean.
