Sadly randoms isn't that varied either. You see the same pokemon so often that sooner or later you memorize all their sets. I miss the random battles from Shoddy Battle, back then you could get truly random pokemon

random pokemon are basically obligated to only have a few sets maximum because if it was a random pick from their entire movepool, it would be challenge cup. Randbats are more fun because you don't have the same team, so you have to think on your feet rather than rely on one strategy.

You're right. I'm an idiot who plays rb's all the time, I wanted to play OU but don't have the patience to build a team. i even opened up a thread for someone to post "OU: the team" in text format with movesets and EVs to copy paste it to PS.
