I did like the additions to contests that DP brought, but the jam system and variety of move effects in the Hoenn contests are much better.

Ideally it would be a fusion of the two.

Contests from ORAS are way to easy. You can get master rank by just spamming moves with 3-4 stars (don't even have to match the contest type).

It's pretty sad.

Actually, in Master Rank it's not too easy.

But ORAS contest are way easier than the RSE ones. The non-existence for a limit of Pokéblocks that a Pokémon is capable of eat, and a very light punishment for using moves that don't match the contest type are the main things.

In general I think having fresh downloadable content constantly would help keep the game fresh for a year or whatever time it takes them to launch the next version.
