>>22225922The problem with VGC is that it is very centralized in terms of what Pokemon are used (but not necessarily their spreads, natures and movesets). Last gen, Lando-T, Thundy-I, Heatran and Cresselia (and to a lesser extent, Terrakion) were everywhere, and unfortunately the best way to combat them was using some combination of them yourself. Garchomp, Salamence, Amoonguss, Zapdos and Rotom-W/H are all also really excellent pokes that see ridiculous usage (as they should, I suppose).
Honestly I forgot where I was going with all this but in my opinion, Game Freak should have made an expanded regional dex (excluding all of those Pokemon, barring Salamence, which is Hoenn-native) so VGC could be vastly different from the last two years.
