I really enjoyed Gen V's plot -- asking moral questions, mass populace manipulation, etc. -- but Red/Blue will always be my favorite, not because they're great games, but because when they were released Pokémania was at its height, I was a kid, and everything was hype.

I really like the bad guys in Gen V. Unlike some of the other one's where the bad guys have no real good reason for doing what they do (Aqua and Magma want to destroy the world pretty much), I kind of sympathized with Plasma's vision of liberation. It's a group that I could see people actually joining, which I thought was cool

Gen V here.

I liked the fresh start with all new pokémon from start to finish, and I really liked most of the designs, typings, theme... (most).

The music was excellent, I learnt to RNG so I had everything I wanted by legal means, and I enjoyed the region's theme overall.

The game wasn't difficult but it was harder than Pokémon will ever be again (sadly). Oh, and the story was linear but pretty good by Pokémon's standards...

Also: World Tournament in B2/W2

I fucking love everything about Gen V, even the shit parts. Then again BW was my first Pokemon game so that's probably why. I thought it looked stupid as a kid and never gave it a try until college.

Yeah, BW and BW2 are part of the same storyline. You'd miss a ton of info by skipping BW and it just wouldn't be as good.

Make no mistake, BW2 has more content, but you are missing out if you ONLY play BW2.

It's definitely worth playing both, especially now that they're outdated as shit and you can just pirate them if you want. It's sort of like one big adventure with a timeskip in-between.

Man, everything was great about GenV villains.
They split into two teams pretty much post BW with the N team (the ones who believed in the cause)and the Ghestis team (the ones who were the villains, were following Ghestis, and etc) Also a Colress team kinda, who was all research and didnt give a fuck
