Mega Sableye may well be able to stay in middle-top OU, but right now is just fashionable, due to newness in the meta.

Yeah those two work, I've been using it with scarftran since it can take fairy hits all day and get a surprise kill off.
Also don't just mega evolve right off the bat, if theres something that you need to burn then make use of prankster before megaing, priority recover is also useful while setting up so try get a few boosts beforehand. Of course if you see a phazer or something trying to status you switching in, give then the bounce.

Isn't Dark Pulse walled by more types than Shadow Ball? Sure Normal types like Lopunny and Chansey ruin Shadow Ball Sableye but Dark Pulse is walled by Dark, Fairy, and Fighting while Shadow Ball is only walled by Normal and Dark.

Well the thing is that with dark pulse you can at least keep doing chip damage after getting to +6 and eventually get a kill, while with shadow ball you're pretty much forced to get rid of all normal types before even thinking of setting up. Also Sableye has no business staying on any fairies or mega bunny so the fact that they resist dark pulse makes no difference, while fighting types lack recover and can easily be brought down by a combination of burn passive damage and dark pulse.
