A 1st edition Charizard will fetch a few bucks. Any other old cards are worthless, for the most part, for two reasons:
1) The beanie baby effect. It's not colleectable because EVERYONE collected them, and everyone saved them hoping they'd be worth something one day. Since everyone still has them, their's too many still around for things to really be valuable.
2) They're useless to anyone who actually plays the TCG, because power creep.
