GF do what they want and don't follow patterns, ORAS were created directly from demand by fans. If there were enough people wanting a Crystal/Emerald/Platimun remake, they'd probably do it.
If there was EVER going to be a third version remake, it would be Delta Emerald. It'd be a pretty easy cash-grab considering the entire region is 3D and all the models exist so it's not like there'd be a lot to do. And i'm not saying it's happening, but just be aware on the date May 1st, 2015.
